CFPAC Welcomes New Staff!
Help us give a big warm welcome to our new Data and Operations Specialist, Ashia Aubourg! Ashia will be working with all of our staff to establish operational procedures, as well as tracking and recording the progress of our various initiatives.
Ashia Rain Aubourg was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, and identifies as Black with Haitian and Caribbean roots. Ashia is a graduate of Syracuse University's Food Studies & Policy Studies program, where she focused her studies on analyzing components that make up resilient community food systems. Ashia comes from six years of work with community organizations, public health departments, start-ups, and public schools. Ashia has been involved in school food policy programs that incorporate culturally appropriate foods into the lunch system, improving outreach for farmers' market programs that accept SNAP, food rescue initiatives, experiential education curriculum development, communication efforts for local farms in Chicago, and CPG analysis. Ashia loves to write about food on her blog and as a part-time freelance writer, and in the warmer months, grow food on her stoop-garden in her spare time.
